Calling all cooks!

17 February 2009

The Darwin Court kitchen is set to double as a television studio in the spring, as Peabody serves up its own slice of cook TV. Part of the Activate London well-being programme, Elvis’ Kitchen will be broadcast on the web in 12 episodes. Each one will be presented by Elvis Campbell, caretaker at the Nag’s Head estate in Tower Hamlets. Elvis will deliver a one-to-one tutorial on preparing a simple dish in front of a studio audience of hungry Peabody residents.

We’re looking for easy, low-cost, nutritious recipe ideas for Elvis to cook on camera. The recipe can be for anything – as long as you like it! Send it in and you’ll receive an Activate London Well-being Pack and be entered in a draw to win a £50 Marks & Spencer voucher.

All the recipes will be put before a panel, and they’ll be judged by their nutritional value, cost, how simple they are to prepare – and of course how they taste.

You can send us your recipes using this contact form – but don't forget to add your name, address and a contact number. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 13 March 2009.
