Industrial action by London firefighters planned for 5-7 November, which covers bonfire night and Diwali weekend, has been called off.
The Fire Brigades Union has agreed to attend a meeting of the Resolution Advisory Panel, an independently chaired body that can make recommendations to resolve the dispute.
Due to take place on 16 November, the meeting could see the Section 188 process of re-engaging firefighters on new terms and conditions withdrawn.
