Just occasionally, Peabody rehomes some of our feathered friends too. Find out about a bird rescue on Wild Street
Imagine the Estate Service Team's surprise when they were asked to help rehouse a baby bird on Wild Street recently.
Resident Yvette Vangiape found a baby bird that had fallen from its nest and was unable to return. Its mother was flying down to feed the bird but both seemed distressed.

Luckily, Ed Wallis from Peabody's Asset Management department happened to be on site monitoring the progress of a TV upgrade contractor. They took a few moments to remove the bird box from the tree and bring it to the baby bird who happily moved back into his home. The contractors then replaced the bird box in the tree.
Yvette and other residents at the scene were happy to see a positive outcome from Peabody and joked that they were pleased to see Peabody re-house smaller residents with feathers and wings.
Yvette added "It is great to see everyone from the office, the cabling company and residents getting involved to help a little bird."
While Tony Molloy, Head of Estate Services, observed that the birds seem happy to be home but disappointed not to receive the digital upgrade...
