The Audit Commission, an independent watchdog for local public services, carried out a routine short-notice inspection at Peabody in December 2009. The inspectors focused on gas servicing, day-to-day repairs and resident involvement, presenting their findings in a report at the beginning of this year.
We worked with residents to produce an action plan in response to the inspection report. The Audit Commission has now reviewed our plan and published its final, complete report, which includes its views on our prospects for improvement.
