Two film companies offer their expertise in mentoring programme

"Change One Thing: Inspire" tells the story of five young Hackney residents aged 15–16 who are being supported by Inspire to access employment and training opportunities, and develop the motivation, skills and knowledge needed for the world of work.

The young people had the chance to learn various documentary making techniques including interviewing, development and exposition, as well as a series of mentoring sessions with documentary directors and producers.

The film was produced as a result of a 10-week course, funded and accredited by us, and co-written by Film’s Cool and 2013 Factual TV BAFTA winner Neil Crombie (Swan Films).

Mentors on the project include Jesse O’Mahoney (script writer and musician), Sacha Bennet (award-winning actor, director and writer), Awate (musician), Ross Curran (director) and Darren Sager (CEO of Visible UK).
