Fringe events at the Conservative and Labour conferences

You’re Hired: Supporting young people into work

This year we are focusing on our work to create hundreds of apprenticeships for young Londoners. In a short space of time we have secured pledges to create blue-collar apprenticeships for almost 200 young jobless adults across 19 employers.

The fringe events will explore how the housing sector, businesses, schools, local authorities and MPs can work together to boost apprenticeships, training and employment in their communities.

With youth unemployment in London at record levels, and demand for apprenticeships far outstripping supply, this work has never been more important.
