Peabody has appointed Osborne, one of the UK’s leading construction and property services companies, for its £85 million London repairs and maintenance contract.
Peabody residents played a key role in the selection process, with Osborne chosen for its excellent customer satisfaction ratings, strong health and safety record, and cost efficiency.
The 10 year contract, which starts on Monday 17 May 2010, covers planned and responsive repairs and void refurbishment works to Peabody’s 17,500 properties across the capital.
There will be immediate benefits for Peabody residents:
- Flexible appointment times. Residents will be offered appointments between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday.
- Two-hour appointment windows. Appointments will be offered in two hour slots during weekdays, reducing waiting time.
- Rapid appointment confirmation. All appointments will be confirmed when the repair is first reported and a text message sent to the resident to confirm.
Stephen Howlett, Peabody Chief Executive, said:
“I'm proud to announce the appointment of Osborne. Peabody residents have shaped the service they would like to see delivered, and our ability to do so has been given a strong vote of confidence by our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority. I'm confident we will meet those expectations by providing a first class service.”
Nick Sterling, Managing Director of Osborne’s Property Services Sector said:
“We are delighted that Peabody has appointed us for this important contract and we are looking forward to working with them to deliver high customer service standards for their residents.”
