Digital Inclusion

Digital Inclusion is a new digital media project available in three London boroughs, which brings older and younger people together.

The project involves young people between the ages of 16 and 25 helping to design, develop and deliver a series of workshops for older people in their local area. The sessions will aim to help older people to learn more about using the internet – both for socializing and accessing services – and to understand the advantages of mobile phones and digital cameras.

The workshops will take place over eight weeks at Peabody centres in Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Islington. Both the younger and older people will have an opportunity to help decide what topics will be covered. The project will run until April 2010.
