Resident review committee
The resident review committee (RRC) meets six times a year to review Peabody's performance and activities and to make recommendations on how to improve services.
The committee has started by reviewing Peabody's performance on housing mangement and customer satisfaction. It has the authority to commission reports from staff and to instruct customer inspectors to investigate areas of concern and measure performance against other landlords.
The committee choose the services to be reviewed. Future areas for scrutiny could include estate management services, rent arrears, lettings, services to homeowners day-to-day repairs and cyclical repairs.
The RRC has recently scrutinised customer care including the customer service charter and services promises statement. Changes have been made in response to recommendations from the RRC and a revised customer service charter was launched at the annual residents’ conference in November 2009.
To find out more, or to join the committee, contact Peabody Direct or email customer.involvement@peabody.org.uk.
Please note: Training is provided. The role is unpaid, but members receive a generous attendance allowance, a contribution towards childcare costs and a grant to purchase IT equipment to assist them in their role.
