Get involved

Residents' views are vital to ensuring that that our services are of a high standard, give value for money and meet the needs of the people who use them. We know that people are busy and do not always want to come to meetings, so we have a range of ways for residents to get involved.

From residents' associations and regional forums, to focus groups, surveys and our annual conference, there is a way to ensure that you have a say on the decisions that affect your home.

Our involvement statement
We believe the best way to improve our services is by customers and staff working closely together.

We have been working with many of you to improve our services. As a result of this shared work we decided to focus on six areas and come up with practical things we can do to make a difference:

  • we'll listen to and read all your comments and suggestions

  • respond to surveys, particularly our resident survey, by taking account of your views and feeding back the results to you

  • promote and support our formal involvement structures to give you a platform to air your views

  • provide financial and practical help for residents' groups and explore ways in which our resident groups can become more empowered

  • provide access to training initiatives for residents who want to develop skills to help  them become more involved

  • create more involvement opportunities that are convenient for you and promote them widely

  • constantly monitor our customer involvement strategy with the help of our diversity forum

Our customer involvement strategy (Word, 164KB) has been agreed with residents and sets out Peabody’s commitment to involve customers during the period 2008-11.
