Sundial Centre
The Sundial Centre is a vibrant and welcoming community centre open to all adults. We provide a large range of activities, services and events in a bright and spacious environment.
The centre is at the heart of a diverse community, of which all members are encouraged to use our services and get involved in decision making. Our services aim to tackle isolation and promote good health and well-being.
Opening times
The centre is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What we do
The Sundial Centre is jointly funded by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust, Peabody and London Catalyst. The centre offers:
User-led services and activities
We encourage centre users to get involved by volunteering or running their own activities. Volunteers can support the centre and its staff by working on reception or befriending and buddying other users. They can lead on activities like creative writing, knitting, crafts and bingo, or help run the media group. There are also opportunities for fundraising through outings and events or craft stalls.
Senior Age (SAGE)
Established in 2006, SAGE is an independent group of over-50 Sundial users that raises funds for activities for local older people. This vibrant group runs a range of outings and parties throughout the year and bingo every Tuesday. All of the activities are funded through proceeds from raffles and selling handmade arts and crafts – which include locally renowned knitting!
Restaurant
The Sundial restaurant is open daily from 12pm to 1.30pm, offering fresh healthy meals at reasonable prices. We offer a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals in a warm and friendly environment. Our coffee bar is open from 10am to 3pm for refreshments.
