Preserved right to buy
Council tenants can buy the home they live in at a discount on the full market value under the government's Right to Buy scheme. There is a discount of £16,000 available.
Former council tenants whose home has transferred to a registered social landlord or housing association like Peabody also have this right, known as the Preserved Right to Buy.
To apply, complete the right to buy claim form (pdf, file size 486KB) and send it to Peabody head office for the attention of the sales and marketing team (please keep a copy of the form).
Please note: be aware of other people offering you the right to buy form, especially if they ask you to pay.
We will send you a notice confirming whether or not you have the right to buy and, if so, the discount you are entitled to, and the next steps in buying your home.
