Marketing Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an Administrator to support Market Rent Strategy Team which incorporates the Private Rental Team and Lettings Marketing Team. They manage and re-let the non-social property portfolio for Peabody.

The Letting Marketing Team support the Private Rental Team by providing Marketing support in the form of adverts and leads for available properties. The Letting Marketing Team also provides support to the General Needs Portfolio by processing Nominations to the local authority.

Activities: You will be providing administrative support to the Lettings Marketing Team as well as the Private Rental Team.

Requirements: You will need to have good administrative skills, intermediate Microsoft Office skills in particular Excel and Outlook. You will also need to have exceptional diary management skills and be a strong communicator both written and verbal.

Location: 116 – 118 Walworth Road, London SE17 1JY.

Hours: Volunteers will be required for 2days a week between 9am – 5 pm. The placement will last for 3 months. Hours are flexible and negotiable to suit the volunteer.

Net Worx IT Tutors (Digital Champions)

We are looking for IT Tutors to work with older people who are interested in learning computer and internet skills.

Activities: This role involves helping older people and other service users or learners to find out about IT services within their community. You will provide information about the project in the community, organise events and take part in forums that will help promote the project.

You will also plan and run training workshops to older people.

Requirements: Be organised, punctual, friendly, basic IT skills, approachable and patient, with good listening skills, a willingness to learn, an ability to respect others and respect confidentiality.

Location: Various locations across Peabody.

Hours: Volunteers will be required for up to 3 hours a week for one day a week. The placement will require a minimum commitment of 12 weeks.

Volunteer Sustainability Advisor

We are looking for two Volunteer Administration Assistants to support their team.

Activities: You will be required to assist the Sustainability Advice Officer in tackling fuel poverty and promoting energy efficiency and environmental sustainability to residents. Perform simple home energy surveys and give advice to residents on how to manage fuel bills and heating controls.

You will also answer queries from residents via telephone, email and person to person and compile information about home energy-related issues, sustainability activities and achievements. Help coordinate contact with residents, including booking advice sessions and sending out report and keep databases up to date.

Requirements: Basic IT Skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Be professional, organised and have a good telephone manner. Have an awareness of the difficulties faced by those who are socially isolated and vulnerable and/or have special needs. Ability to be understanding and sensitive, as well as being punctual and reliable.

Location: 45 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JB.

Hours: Volunteers will be required for 2/3 days a week between 10am – 4pm. These days are flexible and will be discussed with the Supervisor. The placement will last for 3 weeks initially.

Volunteer Outreach Assistant

We are looking for someone who is proactive to support their Community Development Outreach Team. The Outreach Team visits Peabody estates, offering help and advice by promoting the services that we offer to residents.

Activities: The role is to support staff during outreach sessions; this involves being on our Peabody estates and engaging residents, speaking to residents on their doorsteps, promoting our community services, completing registration forms and signposting residents who need support to relevant services.

You will also offer support at various events that the Outreach team holds including monthly coffee morning and community road shows to ensure a smooth running and an ideal opportunity to engage with residents.

Requirements: To be organised, punctual, friendly, approachable and patient, with good listening skills and a willingness to learn, an awareness of the difficulties faced by those who are socially isolated and vulnerable and/or have special needs.

Location: 116 – 118 Walworth Road, London SE17 1JY & various Peabody. estates.

Hours: Volunteers will be required for 1-2 days a week between 10am – 3pm. The placement could be for a minimum of 3 months. Hours are flexible in agreement with team.
