We have embedded an automatic screen reader that turns the English text of this
website into spoken words that you can hear through your computer's speakers. For
convenience, you can set the screen reader to read each page you view automatically.
You can turn the automatic feature on or off by either checking or un-checking the
box below:
You can also
reset
the audio welcome message read to you the first time you visited the Trust homepage.
By default, the welcome message is only read to you once.
Understanding the screen reader:
If you set the screen reader to automatically read each page to you, a
new window will pop up on your screen each time you visit a page on our web site.
The reader will then automatically read that page out loud to you. If you do not
have the reader set to automatically read each page to you, and you manually click
the "Read this page to me" button, the screen reader will pop up a new window and
start reading the page to you. In this manual mode, if you change page, you will
have to close the popup window otherwise you will continue to hear only the text
from the previous page you visited.
Note: you must have an audio player capable of playing MP3 files over the internet. This service is not compatible with 'popup blockers'. If you have
one installed and you want to use our text-to-speech feature, you must configure your popup blocker to allow our
site to launch 'popup windows'.
