Board members

Christopher Strickland
Christopher Strickland is chair of the Peabody Board. Christopher is a chartered engineer, and he is a director of Greycoat Estates Ltd and a partner in City Offices Real Estate LLP. He is a past member of the Board of the British Property Federation and a past president of the British Council for Offices. He joined Peabody’s Board in January 2003.

Marisa Cassoni
Marisa Cassoni is finance director of the John Lewis Partnership. She is the former group finance director of the Royal Mail Group plc and previously Britannic Assurance plc. Marisa was a non-executive director of Severn Trent plc from 2001 to 2006. She has been a Peabody board member since July 2005.

Tim How
Tim How became a member of the Board in 2008. Until August 2008, Tim was chief executive of Majestic Wine plc and, prior to that, managing director of frozen food retailer Bejam Group plc. He is non-executive chairman of Framlington AIM VCT plc, a non-executive director of Dixons Retail plc and a director of Henderson Group plc.

Karl King
Karl King is a barrister at Hardwicke Chambers, specialising in real property, landlord and tenant, and housing. Karl is a member of the Common Law Bar Association and the Property Bar Association, and is an elected member of the South Eastern Circuit. He is also a member of the Lord Chancellor's Joint Working Party on Judicial Appointments. He has been a Peabody board member since December 2006.

Malcolm Levi
Malcolm Levi has been chief executive of three housing associations: PCHA (now Genesis), Warden and, for the 10 years to 2008, Home Group. In 2001, he was made a distinguished member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Malcolm is now an adviser to Savills’ Housing Investment Consultancy, a member of the Tenant Services Authority adviser panel and a board member at Richmond Housing Partnership. He also undertakes mentoring and public speaking. He is an ambassador for housing charity HACT and chairs its Fit for Living initiative.

Elizabeth Peace CBE
Liz Peace is chief executive of the British Property Federation (BPF) and joined the Peabody board in January 2010. Before joining the BPF Liz was company secretary and director of corporate affairs at QinetiQ Group plc (1990-2002), an assistant director in Ministry of Defence Management Services (1985-1990) and an assistant director in MOD Army Secretariat (1984). Liz is also a trustee of property charity LandAid and a non-executive director of Turley Associates.

June Welcome
June Welcome has worked in the social housing sector for 19 years. June is a trustee of the Bridges Community Project and a former trustee of the West Silvertown Village Foundation. June is chair of Peabody’s Diversity Forum and has been a resident board member since January 2009.

Jan Tucker
Jan Ticker is vice chair of the Palmer Estate Tenants' Association and has been actively involved in a number of groups within the community. She currently chairs the Islington Community Safety Board (ICSB) and is a member of Peabody's Finance and Investment Committee. Jan has been a resident board member since July 2011.
